TAG Adds Donor Development Strategist
By Kristen ShoatesWe’re so excited to announce a brand new addition to our team AND a brand new set of services for our clients. Megan Hawkes, donor development strategist extraordinaire, has recently joined The A Group team to offer in-depth donor development strategies for organizations seeking to build the capacity of their donor base.
The addition of a donor development strategist allows us to bring even more expertise to clients seeking to not just grow their base of potential donors, but cultivate and retain those supporters. Where marketing and technology is a critical part of the acquisition phase, we can now help organizations continue to build relationships with those donors long after the first direct mail piece or email blast.
Megan has more than 15 years of donor development experience, previously working with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), where she grew private giving revenue from $3 million to $26 million, and is Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credentialed. Before coming to The A Group, Megan was the president of her own consulting firm, working with mid-sized to large ministries.
Donor development, marketing and technology are woven together at every level of the donor experience today, so it’s critical to have a comprehensive approach, fully integrating each discipline. Donor development is a critical need for all nonprofits, and adding that capability to what we offer lets us serve our clients most comprehensively. We can now come alongside an organization from the first phase of strategic marketing planning, to building digital tools to accomplish goals, to cultivating and retaining donors.
